SWG Board and Committees
The Board meets via Zoom 8-9 months a year on the 3rd Thursday of the month. To scout for positions that might interest you, see the full list of Job Descriptions for Board Members and Subcommittee Chairs. If you are interested in any of these roles, you may wish to work with a sitting Committee Chair as the Assistant Chair, in order to learn the responsibilities and rhythms of the job.
Elected Officers manage the affairs of the Guild. Each year, a nominating committee that is independent of the Board recruits a slate of nominees to run for election at the April general meeting. The Officer Slate includes 1st Vice President, Treasurer, Recording Secretary, and Corresponding Secretary.
Current Openings: The Nominating Committee will begin interviewing candidates in January 2026.

Summer Towel Exchange Organizer
We need a coordinator to organize an exchange for the July 25, 2024 picnic. If you are interested, but lack experience, we can connect you with a seasoned exchange organizer. This was a popular activity at the 2021 picnic, and we would like to bring it back.

Mini Workshop Teachers
Mini workshops are free classes taught by members for members. The workshops usually run 2 – 4 hours and can be on Zoom or in person and on any topic.
Study Group Organizers
Study groups are important support and learning resources for members. A study group organizer, may keep a schedule for a minimally organized support group or they may create a study plan for a topic that interests them. The organizer need not be a subject expert. Often a book is used as a guide for study.
See the Guide for Starting a Study Group for more information about the process of starting a study group.
