Our annual sale is a great opportunity to promote hand weaving in our community, provide a venue for members to sell their creations, and raise money to support our Guild programs. We hope that everyone in the Guild will participate in some way.

Ways You Can Help

Weave Items for the Sale

Making items for the sale is your chance to make what you love, help support the guild and share your talents with the community. If you have any question about the guidelines for putting items in the sale, the Guidelines Committee will be available to answer questions at the monthly meetings in May and September.

Volunteer to help with planning and running the sale

This year, we will be using Signup.com to register to help with the sale. Details will be available in the September bulletin. Whether or not you have items for sale, we can use your help. Register here beginning in September, 2023.

Publicity

Publicity is very important for a successful sale and “word of mouth” is one of the best means of promoting it.
See “Publicity” below for ways of getting the word out.

General Information / Volunteer

If you would like to participate in the Sale, the ‘Guidelines and Sale Procedures’ document below is the best place to start, followed by 'Sale Q & A’. Check the documents below for answers to your questions. If you can’t find what you are looking for, please contact the co-chairs.

Preparing Your Items for Sale

It is important that your inventory sheets and tags are accurate and done in accordance with our inventory procedures. We have about 3000 items from 70+ Guild members and your cooperation is essential. We adopted a new inventory system for the 2021 sale. If you have not yet worked with the new system, you will need to familiarize yourself with the new procedures and label your items accordingly. All vendors must follow the new inventory system without exception. Please consult the files below for guideline information, inventory and barcode information as well as information about past sales.

Note: If you are bringing more than 100 items to the sale, please arrange a pre-check with the Inventory Co-Chairs

Publicity

Please let your local yarn shops, fiber and other interest groups, family and friends know about the sale. Sharing our materials via e-mail is the most economical means of promoting the sale.  Files are available below.  Encourage people to view our sale webpage and, while there, to join our mailing list:
https://www.seattleweaversguild.com/annual-sale

Bookmarks will be available at the May, Summer and September meetings or by request: contact our Publicity Chair.  Help by distributing bookmarks to your local shops and businesses.

Postcards will be mailed to anyone on our mailing list.

Note:  These files are low resolution and intended for sharing electronically.
